A “Singular Build'“ Process

Merlin is unique among custom bike manufacturers for our Singular Build process, which begins with a custom design consultation, followed by frame design, frame build, and, upon completion, welcoming you to the Merlin family.

1. Design Consultation

   Our customers are family, and are truly involved in the Singular Build design process of their frames and complete builds. Each frame we build is specifically designed for you, with hand selected tubing of varying wall thickness and diameter, based on a continuous dialogue during the frame design stage. 

2. Frame Design

   After you have you have secured your place in our build queue with a 50% frame deposit, our Master Builder/Designer will work with you on your bike CAD design, component selection and frame finish options.   

3. Frame Build

   Prior to your frame going into production, we will obtain final sign-off from you. At this time, final payment is due on frameset and any build components. With your approval and final payment, we will then provide you with a target completion date. 

4. Merlin Family

   Upon delivery, you are now a member of the Merlin Family. By now you know that our frames are built-to-order for cyclists that demand the very best. Your frame has been meticulously handcrafted to achieve maximum weight savings, with absolutely no sacrifice in ride quality or torsional rigidity, yielding a noticeably smooth ride no matter the riding conditions. Nothing else rides quite like a Merlin.
